I just got my 7500 mile free service, and once done I noticed that my coolant overflow tank was way overfilled (like when warm it was within 1/2 cm of the cap). I check my fluids every week, so I was very aware that my coolant level was exactly at the "MAX" line when hot and 2" below that when cold, before servicing. So, pissed off, I looked at the service record and saw that the washer fluid had been filled, but there was no mention of the coolant being touched. I had a bottle of Toyota's spec FR-S coolant at home so once I got back to my garage I compared it to the stuff in my reservoir.
Turns out that on Toyota's the washer fluid reservoir is located where the FR-S coolant reservoir is. Also Toyota coolant is red, whereas the FR-S coolant is blue. So some jackass tech noticed that my "washer fluid" was low and topped it off, without looking at the obvious fucking label on the cap.
I took it back and had them drain the reservoir, fill it with new coolant, drain it again, and then refill with the proper amount of the proper fluid. I'm just glad I noticed it quickly and the few hours it was in my overflow tank was not enough to contaminate the coolant in the system.
**edit Back at the service station, getting my cooling system flushed**

They would have done your blinker fluid for you too, but couldn't find it... after all, they are the experts.

but I though the blinkers used a lifetime fluid?!?

Nope, it's every 3000 miles or whenever you have $50 in your pocket. Whichever comes first.

that happened to my mom at a Ford dealer while it was in for body work. Also, to my dad at some jiffy lube far away from where i live on his way home.

Sometimes those dealership morons just can't figure it out. I took my Ford F-150 to the dealer and and told them I thought I had a bad coil. 8 coil system. They call me the next day and tell me it is ready to go. Did anyone test drive it? No said the service manager. I said I will drive it around the building to make sure. Sure enough, it still had a miss. He had my bill for $400 or so dollars. I said I'm not paying that you did not fix the problem. Jeez.

Any issues down the road with corrosion? I'm half tempted to go back and demand a full cooling system flush. But I know that I've already boiled off any methanol that happened to enter the system.

Its probably best just to play it safe and have them do the flush anyways.

When I got my truck, the first oil change was free. So I take it in, because why not? It's free. Driving home I notice a horrible burning smell. There is used oil all over the skid plate because the guy didn't take off the access plate and didn't clean it up after spilling oil all over the truck.

I've seen the opposite occur before. It's pretty funny when some goof has to bring his car in because he filled the washer reservoir up with coolant. Wow was that window messy!

Isn't an oil change part of the 7500 mile service? Did you check the oil? Sounds pretty improbable but I know a guy who took his Chevy truck to the dealership to get an oil change and on the way out of the parking lot his oil light came on. So he drives it back into the shop and says "something's wrong here," and he found out that the service guy did drain the crankcase and even put on a new oil filter but, oops, got distracted and forgot to put any new oil in at all.

There was a class action suit over this by some forum guys, and the company settled. The first three blinker fluid refills are free now, you just need to harass your service writer to look it up in the computer.

I blame Honda. They started that blue coolant bullshit.
Whatever the fuck happened to:
Brown: Oil
Red: ATF/Power steering
Green: Coolant
Blue: Washer fluid
???????
Fuck, even Mazda runs a blue transmission fluid in the SKYACTIV AT. Dumb.
